| The Vehicle Control Module System, aka VCMS, is a customizable advanced solution to control vehicle functions like lights, air conditioners, audio equipment, sirens, warning lamps, pumps, and fast idle controls from any location. The VCMS is modular, meaning that it comes in separate elements that work together for your exact needs at a very low price. It is a highly flexible control center for the vehicle, for all functions or only select functions, while minimizing installation time and hardware needs. The VCMS is a smart solution for lowering your vehicle costs and getting the exact functionality wanted.

This advanced electronic solution enables 12 volt devices and functions to be managed from a central unit and switch panel. Think of it this way, the VCMS is the brain, controlling the various organs of a vehicle's electrical system. With the VCMS, the electrical system can be controlled with great flexibility, and large control configurations can be implemented while minimizing installation time and hardware needs. The VCMS is a smart solution for lowering your costs and getting the exact functionality wanted for a vehicle.
A simple VCMS system configuration consists of a Switch Module (SM) connected to a Power Module (PM) via a 4-wire communications logic cable. The SM contains pushbuttons for controlling functions and also contains the application program memory. Each switch position contains a pushbutton switch and a status LED indicator directly above the switch. The switches contain custom legends that are backlit for night viewing. The PM contains 12 volt output power switches for operating customer devices such as dome lights, strobe lights, and high idle engine throttles. The PM also contains digital inputs that can be activated by remote devices such as ignition switch power, limit switches, or relay contacts. See Standard Configuration for the most basic arrangement of a six pushbutton system, or go to Customized Configurations to see how a system can be expanded using additional switch and power modules.
